The glass had to be on the outside 6mm toughened glass. Inside it didn't matter. We are down southern Tasmania and in summer the heat blasts through those windows. But as its only a few days we manage ok, then we are glad to get the afternoon sun warming the house . Cheers Hi so you have BAL 29 windows and had double glazed them as well (west facing ones)? Double glazing is possible with BAL 29/ BAL 40 windows and its not helpful. Good Quality glasses of the window little protect but not 100% provide a solution. We will get good quality blinds though Re: Can A BAL 29 or BAL 40 windows be double glazed? 11Mar 07, 2020 1:18 pm Lorri Forgot to say look on my photos, the big windows in the lounge and sunroom get the western sun, the sunroom gets the west sun nerly full on.
