Can I remove the retaining walls and fences from the building contract. I want to do it myself Do I have to honor the amount. The builder has provided me a fixed cost $14677 for the retaining walls. So they should credit me for the amounts. Re: HIA contract 5Feb 21, 2020 2:55 pm They won't credit the full amount, instead they will withhold their margin (which under a HIA contract they are entitled to do). Nor do they have to accept the variation at all. Hope this helps! Re: HIA contract 6Feb 21, 2020 3:33 pm Thanks for the information Really appreciate replies.
