Does anyone know whether *gutterless* buildings comply with current building code and plumbing regulations (Victoria) with respect to stormwater drainage?
The codes are pretty clear about how your gutters and downpipes need to be designed... but what if you don’t have any?
There was an example on Grand Designs Australia (Canberra) which used an in-ground channel to capture roof rainwater runoff.

And, while technically not gutterless, another example sneaks a gutter in at the base of the second storey to achieve a streamlined roof/facade profile. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
The Victorian code doesn’t seem to entertain “alternative” solutions, so not sure whether this is possible here.
Any clues gratefully received.
