They have a process here including going through a design stage, survey, contour plan, bush fire, waste water design, etc. But that will all occur when I am closer to the stage of lodging plans. Just now working out what I want to do, what fits the site, and roughly what it will cost, etc. The views are mainly to the north and west but there is also a more difficult view to the east. The sun is difficult esp. mid winter and mid summer. North is straight down the page, so sun warms the kitchen then hits the lounge; so may need to turn the building slightly to the east to warm the house more in the winter; but the western windows need to point to the mountain view.
