Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 28, 2020 7:01 pm Hi, I am currently in the Frame stage of my build where I did my inspection on my property today. I could see that the Frames are wooden colour and every other building in the estate has either a blue or a green coloured timber frame. A friend told me that the blue or green colour is the Termite treatment and if it is not done, then the timber will look just in plain wooden colour. Is this true, should I be worried about my frames at this stage as it might not be termite treated ? One lot was framing timbers from a local respected timber yard and one lot from a company that specialises in reproduction timber lining boards. Re: Frame Stage - Termite treated Timber colour 4Mar 29, 2020 7:32 pm The builder would have used an alternative termite management plan in place, looking at the type of construction I would imagine you have a kordon barrier at the slab level. They are a plastic looking barrier under the bottom plate. If not speak with the builder direct. Registered Building - Always happy to help where I can and simply loves the game.
