Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 25, 2020 11:58 pm Hi everyone, Has anyone had any experience building in FZ on the Sydney north shore? We’ve spoken to a few fire consultants and have an idea of the additional regulations we must meet. Most project builders don’t touch this and custom builds are usually more expensive. We are not too fussy about the design, just want something built in the area we love. Any recommendation on builders or general tips are welcome. Jiminy, if you are spending $4-5-600K building a house plus the BAL requirements I'd be more than fussy on the design! What I should have added is that if you do a search on these forums for "BAL" you will come up with a host of threads on what people have had to do to comply and what they have done to incorporate these requirements into their designs.
