Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 09, 2020 8:40 pm We have recently got handover from the builder and our house was CDC approved. The builder had proposed driveway drawn on the plans and with our land sloping away from the street also had a channel drain connecting to stormwater. We feel that the driveway in the plans is pretty narrow and would like to make changes to it. Do we need to get the revised plans of the driveway approved by the certifier again? Does the driveway fall into exempt development as far as it meets all the guidelines? https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/approval-pathways/exempt-development/driveways-pathways-and-paving Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We also need to put an application to the council for the construction of the vehicular crossing soon. Re: Driveway - change to design 3Jan 10, 2020 12:52 pm I'd suggest you're best to check with the person responsible for certifying. Yes, I plan to check with the certifier when they return from holidays. But I am keen to know if anyone has knowledge about driveway regulations. The planning portal below seems to indicate that driveways can be exempt development. Am I reading it wrong? https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/approval-pathways/exempt-development/driveways-pathways-and-paving Re: Driveway - change to design 5Apr 11, 2020 10:05 am I am also planning to change the driveway - in the same position. Does the driveway fall under exempt development? Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35637 5 10586 2 2989 |
