Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 15, 2020 8:15 am Hi all, Looking for some help with colour selection. 3 townhouse development. I'm using the PGH Blue steel brick (bottom level) and up top I've got two kinds of cladding (horizontal and vertical) - Likely JH Syria 325mm for vertical and JH easy lap or JH stria 400mm . Yet to decide. - rood is traditional (charcoal tiles) I was considering colorblind monument for the vertical cladding but now I'm thinking it's too dark. For the horizontal cladding thinking timeless grey. Anyone have any opinions on the colours? The decision with above cladding will dictate decision on gutters, fascia and down pipes. Was also considering basalt as an alternative to monument but felt like it's too light. Alternatively woodland grey, which I actually don't mind with the down pipes but worried might look too strong (with the green ting) as it's mostly vertical cladding uptop. Any help / photos would be greatly appreciated. Re: Which grey cladding colour to use with PGH Blue steel 2Jan 15, 2020 11:03 pm We have a colorbond monument roof and gutters on our house. The front door and feature render is also in monument. It only really looks dark in a dark room or when it's a cloudy day. Otherwise it appears like a warm charcoal. Some days it even casts a brown tinge. Is that a timber door simply painted monument? If so, can u remember what type of paint it is (gloss/matt)? Re: Which grey cladding colour to use with PGH Blue steel 5Jan 16, 2020 4:42 pm amilelka Yes it's just a simple flat door painted monument. We are using water based paints for all our doors, this one is a Satin Matt finish. Thanks! Great timing as I just put my request in for the door! We’re having a 120cm pivot but that door is exactly what I’m after. Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 14434 That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17774 0 1750 |
