Great! Two things: My contract allows me only to enter with the manager, (bull....), but then it says I will have to indemnify the builder of any claim. I will visit the site whenever I choose to. Plus I am not allowed to talk to the trades! I will let the builder sue me for "trespass" on my own land or for violation of the contract clauses. Builders obviously do not want you to nosey around and find faults, that messes up their critical path in Progress Management. Second problem is that the builder is not bound to fix all the faults your building inspector finds, they can just ignore it and demand progress payments regardless. If you do not pay, they sue you. Contact the HIA, MBA, Building Commission or, like a client of Dale Alcock (Perth) get a lawyer and surveyor and go to court and have the building demolished, which it was as the steel was on the sand or membrane, see TV. Ideally and now that I know it, too late by the way, you get three quotes and then ask each builder in the contract to grant you access, yes or no! Get the answer in writing, not verbally.
