You may be able to get it cheaper yourself but I guess the cost will be impacted by ease of access to your property and the local council requirements. The independent contractor has quoted me 5K less than the builder. Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance!
