Hi all,

I’m going to share our new build and the progress as it goes up.

We are building a double storey house with 101 Residential here in WA, in the suburb of North Coogee. It’s located in the estate by the Oceanside called Port Coogee, which has a very beach orientated feel, with very clean and tidy streets and houses throughout.

The Plan

We’ve been through about 10 revisions of the plans, deciding between putting all bedrooms up stairs or the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms downstairs.

We ended up going with the bedrooms downstairs, with the master bedroom and en-suite being upstairs.

Attached are the final drawings that we are going with. We have maximised the house size within our budget and still managed to get an outdoor area for the kids to have a little space.

101 have been brilliant at working with us to make suggestions around different configurations and practicality of different spaces, as well as achieving a great outcome at a good price.

Thats a great little plan for a small block. Port Coogee is a beautiful estate with some amazing homes. I look forward to following your build - do you have any pictures of your elevation?

Yep have just added the sketch, let me know if you have any issues seeing it
Hi Chris, I would advise to employ a builder inspector, one that has a good understanding of building in coastal area's, just to make sure its compliant, can be a nightmare down the track if not completed correctly.

This is a good idea, just ensure they don't add any ridiculous 'special conditions' in the contract. I have seen then try push any defects found to be at the cost of the client to fix!!

Thanks mate yeah I’ve heard they are a good investment, so I’ll definitely get one this time around, atleast to ensure that everything is done to spec etc
Hi Chris,

Sadly I can't see the plans you've shared, but looking forward to following your build.

We have a block in Port Coogee too, we are no where ready to build at this stage though.
