Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First Build - HGWA 11Jan 01, 2020 10:31 pm Yeah, pretty good back-up option to get an IBI check it all over the different stages for only a few thousand $'s just incase, cause all these volume builders pretty much use contractors en-masse to work for them so definitly worth By the way, during the 'build' phase did you have to get some sort of special insurance or does the builder take care of that [and of-course in reality charges you for it in the final build price]? Or its just the normal home & contents insurance is taken out from day 1 that one will continue once moved in? Any plans to use someone like 'Solaray' to install some solar panels on the roof (with enphase microinverters) and install a Tesla PowerWall2 battery in the garage? Long-term money save and also will add value to the house Re: First Build Aveley WA - HGWA 12Jan 01, 2020 10:54 pm TeslaCyberTruck Yeah, pretty good back-up option to get an IBI check it all over the different stages for only a few thousand $'s just incase, cause all these volume builders pretty much use contractors en-masse to work for them so definitly worth By the way, during the 'build' phase did you have to get some sort of special insurance or does the builder take care of that [and of-course in reality charges you for it in the final build price]? Thanks for that TaylorAshlee! I knew they took out Insurance, but was not sure who was the Insurance provider. I definitely plan on having solar installed in the future, just gotta save again after move in My first priority is to get landscaping to my back garden. We have front landscaping included in our land contract, with dogs I really don't want sand hanging around for long LOL.
