Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 03, 2019 2:51 pm Hi everyone We have received a quote from a builder for a 4 bedroom home. 1 option is for a brick render, the 2nd option is for a foam render. The foam render is coming in at about $13k less. I like the idea of the foam render as we could probably put the money saved into other upgrades. But also worried that a brick render house might be more 'durable' and be better for resale Any thoughts is appreciated Thanks Re: Brick Render vs Foam Render 2Dec 03, 2019 4:18 pm Hi had a foam render home, durability I found very good with no cracking for 15; years I had it, does effect value maybe 10_15 percent, this time I went brick render for resale ,also found you need excellent insulation if using the foam render. Hi any update on your matter, is the clean up holding or not. Would really love to know as I am nowhere to find a resolution - looking at lawyer/building expert now. But then not sure if that will make the place look half baked 🤔 3 1603 |
