Brick Render vs Foam Render

We have received a quote from a builder for a 4 bedroom home. 1 option is for a brick render, the 2nd option is for a foam render. The foam render is coming in at about $13k less.
I like the idea of the foam render as we could probably put the money saved into other upgrades. But also worried that a brick render house might be more 'durable' and be better for resale
Any thoughts is appreciated

Oh no! I would use a can of expandable foam ( there are some that will take render) then cut it back and render over the top

There is nothing in the various codes and standards that puts this requirement on the builder to do. I think that is what you are asking. Don't waste time trying to get…
