Can someone highlight the pros & cons of Colour Bond Vs Roof tiles? Short & Long Term? Hi Murtaza who is your builder and where are you building. Our house is under construction and we have selected color bond roof. Most of my friend suggest me and did little bit of research on both roofs. Tiles are old fashioned and want to be standout. Send me what you have ended with tiles or colorbond? I wanted to go colorbond, but the partner wanted tiles and so we compromised and decided on tiles. But after reading this idk if i actually want to go tiles now. I didnt realise tile cracking and the risk of leaking ceilings (and the subsequent repair of said ceilings) was so common. i'm really confused now :S what did you end up going with, Im so confused too. Hubby wants tile and i want colorbond, just because i like the sound of the rain. Brand new double storey $600k plus home near our build just finished and owners have been in about a month A few weeks ago Perth was hit with heavy rain, their new tiled roof has leaked and some of the upstairs ceiling has collapsed. Hi guys our roof install yesterday and it look beautiful in colorbond surfmist colour. We are happy so far with look. My Anticon is R1.3 from Bradford https://www.bradfordinsulation.com.au/home-insulation/roofing/anticon for colorbond roof and the cost for the Anticon blanket is $3000 for a 32 Sq house. However, I am using R3.5 batt for ceiling and that is separate.
