You should be right with the virus, we are just about to start our build with Hallmark and they are pushing to get on site as quick as possible, they want to get paid as quick as they can I suppose, I am sure it would be the same for you. Cheers Hey Michael I used to work for a roof painter and he always swore against dark roofs but I just love the light double brick and dark roof look. The roof is Colourbond Night Sky, the gutters are just called black and the fascias and downpipes are Surfmist. My best advice is drive around and see what gets your attention. Look for houses similar size and/or shape that you are looking to build and see what looks good. Once I decided on a long house all I saw were these long homes with dark roof and light brick and I loved them. But most were monument roof and then grey or black gutters and to me it looked bad I needed them to be the same colour and my partner wanted dark gutters so I said we had to do the black roof and no regrets at all!!! Hey Hayley Yeah we been looking at every house we go past. Starts doing your head in trying to decide on colours. We thinking Monument Matt roof, gutter & window frames with Surfmist fascia & down pipes. Probably go with Perisher double height brick with white or grey mortar. Re: Building our first home - A Retreat 305 in D'aguilar wit 92Apr 23, 2020 8:46 am Michael I think Hallmark quoted us an extra $144 per pallet of bricks to have off white mortar, which I think worked out to 2.5K extra. The front our our house will be rendered so we didn't bother.
