Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 04, 2020 7:13 pm Hi all, I am a newbie, and my land will be settled in this month, I have signed a contract with Metricon and pay 5% deposit (around $10k) to them, but now I find a more ideal home from another builder - Carlisle Homes, they have similar price but more inclusions and better floor plan design. Plus, the government offer $25k new building grant, so should I give up the contract with Metricon or stay with them? If I cancel the contract, how much penalty should I pay? or any chance get partial deposit back from Metricon? Is worth to switch builder to Carlisle Homes? Thanks a lot!
