Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 23, 2019 8:59 am Hi guys, hope someone might be able to help me out here! We have just been told by our builder that the range hood model we selected/upgraded to during selections has been discontinued. The price for the replacement model is dearer than what we paid, and the builder is asking if we would either like a credit back for the variation amount or to swap it with a range hood of similar value. They've written that appliances being discontinued is out of their control - I just want to know if this is actually the case? We are fine to consider swapping it out, but will be devastated if we find out we didn't have to compromise. Note: We are building with a custom home builder, and the new model number is the almost identical, now having 'S2' as opposed to 'S1' i would not be signing anything on the day read your contract about when builder submits final invoice generally, have to meet builder within 7 days of receiving final… 1 2593 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 6393 The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 5694 |
