Hi we went to inspect our site after the slab was laid and noted a few “scars” along the side of the slab and looks to be exposed. What do people think? Is this going to be a problem? Should I raise it with the builder?

Scars generally heal, you mean defect, the rebar is not suppose to be exposed.
Was the reinforcement not inspected prior to concrete placement?
Refer to your engineering Drawings/Details for min. concrete cover....generally >50mm is required
