Hoping someone would share similar experiences that I’m going through at the moment.
Paid a deposit for a home and land package with two separate payments to two different bank accounts of a real estate (separate deposits for house and the land). Separate contracts for the two. Contract on land settled recently with no specific clauses on the contract requiring build to be locked in with the quoted builder. Construction contract yet to be signed.
Upon further exploration, it appears that the construction cost for the size of the house they’re building is a bit pricey. Hence we would want to go with potentially another builder.
Are there any legal challenges that the realtor might look to leverage off to stop me from building elsewhere?
