Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Tribeca Home 10Dec 24, 2021 12:57 pm get2rush Gladys get2rush Hi, I found this thread while searching for reviews for Tribeca Homes. Did you actually went with them? If yes, I would really appreciate if you can share your experience. I’ve already signed up, so want to know if any tips on how to deal with them around the changes/variations. Also any other over all tips? Thanks in advance. Hi, yes we did signed up with Tribeca Homes. I can’t really give you much feedback at this stage coz we are still waiting for the land registration, which is predicted to happen this upcoming September. But so far it has been a smooth process. U can give them a call but for me I email our building coordinator about variations. If u don’t mind, are u based NSW as well? Thanks. Yes I’m in Sydney but my property is in Melbourne. I can’t begin to express how terrible this builder is. Stay away from Them. Tribeca is building my first house in Marsden park Sydney. From day 1 they have provided me with misleading information, and fooled us around. They have installed completely different tiles and bricks and now not ready to even accept their mistake and correct it. This builder is a bully. Their licence should be revoked. They have no human decency or principles. They are full of deception and cheaters. Don’t go to them Re: Tribeca Home 11Dec 24, 2021 1:00 pm AG83 Hey guys, I am about to sign off a land contract with Tribeca and house construction with Birdy. Just wanted to ask how your experience was before doing so as I have been sceptical on previous builders however Birdy has so far been quite the opposite. The only red flag for me is the land contract. As it is currently unregistered if feels risky. Any feedback is appreciated I hope you didn’t sign up with them. They are terrible. They are building my first home and provided me with all wrong, misleading information while making Cooke selection and in the end installed wrong tiles and bricks. If you have signed please keep a very close eye and see each and every nook and hook before they installed. My first home is a disaster thanks to them. Re: Tribeca Home 12Mar 24, 2022 12:46 pm I had signed a Melbourne West suburb land + house package contract with Tribeca Homes on Dec '21. But yesterday I received email from Tribeca that build cost is increased by 10% due to shortage of supplies. As a result they are asking $32,000 more from me for the building construction. Extremely disappointed with this builder as they increased the build cost by 10% only after 3 months from signing the contract. Seems like Tribeca homes is a very greedy builder, and I would not recommend anyone this builder. We built through Birdy/Rebecca in NSW and our supervisor was terrible. They're still trying to fix issues with our house and we've lived here for over 6 months. At least they're trying to the fix the issues. I've heard that some builders just don't want anything to do with the house after the 3-month maintenance period. Re: Tribeca Home 14Apr 02, 2022 10:48 pm We signed up with Tribeca / Birdy for a land + house package in Dec'20. Land was supposed to be registered in May-June'21 initially. Land registeration got delayed till 24-Dec-21, and now we have received a letter for an upward revision in construction cost by 15%. I do get that there have been a major change in price variations over the past 12 months, but a 15% revision (which turns out to be over 60k) is at the very high end. I have obtained quotes from more builder, one of which is a major builder, and even with upgradation / variations is better cost wise. Considering there is limited information on the company and the feedback about end product / finished is not really positive. Have another friend who had a 10% revision with a different builder but they were happy to negotiate it down to 5% but Tribeca seems to be non-considerate. Seriously confused as there is no permanent contact number either with complaints of the finished product of being low quality really having my doubts. Anyone else had a similar situation? Couple of people who have been speaking to me from the company seems to be really nice and looks like they want to help, but doesn't look like they have much power. Hi Syed, we also have the same issue. We finally pulled out and they gave me a full refund of my deposit. Have you have your house completed by now? Hi Jess, you had a building contract with Tribeca homes? Was it a full turn key contract? How did you pull out and manage to get a full refund of your deposit? I’m sorry for throwing the questions all at once I’m just nervous as it is my first property. The land was suppose to settle in June 2023 but looks like it will be delayed by couple of months.
