In fact the bedroom 3 and 4 showers seem wider than the master! The dining looks small in comparison to rest of house, make sure your table fits and you have a minimum 1m around it, for circulation space, more so, near the sliding door to outside. Are you happy to have your kitchen as the first thing people see when you walk in? I personally wouldn’t like that, but again that’s personal opinion. Good luck! Re: Custom plan 5Oct 01, 2019 12:03 am Hi Den45, Good looking house plan, lots of space. Curious where north is? Anyhow I just had a quick look, and nothing too major sticks out to me. Only minor thoughts:
Anyhow all this stuff is just me thinking out loud and personal preference. We all have our own needs and ideas for a house. It will certainly offer heaps of living space option and good separation for bedrooms etc. What are the areas etc? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Check our Homeone build blog here Re: Custom plan 6Oct 01, 2019 12:17 pm darb74 Hi Den45, Good looking house plan, lots of space. I will definitely look into those. I did not get about en-suite door opening to window. I have already got Cssd in main ensuite. House facing south east and north is on main bedroom side. Thanks heaps for your comments. Re: Custom plan 7Oct 01, 2019 5:33 pm No worries at all. Hey in reference to the ensuite door swinging onto the window....this is relate to BED1. Any reason this is the only bathroom with a hinged door and not a CSD?\ I just think if you tend to leave that door open, which makes sense generally for air-flow etc, then that door will always block some light and/or air if the window is open. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Check our Homeone build blog here Re: Custom plan 8Oct 01, 2019 11:20 pm Just a few thoughts myself - it's a pretty nice design, and definitely unusual to have a wider ranch style floorplan. - I see you've basically cut off two bedrooms on one side of the house with the other two bedrooms on other side of the house. Are there two families living there? - Also not only do you see the kitchen when you walk through the front door, you actually see straight through the house to the back garden, which can be a bit odd (and very bad feng shui!) - The pillar in between the entry and the family room, and the pillar between the family and bedroom 3, are they really necessary? Having an odd pillar here or there doesn't seem to add very much to the open plan. - And did you know you have a total of 5 linen cupboard/ rooms? Do you really have than much linen?! Thanks Ben for your comments. Yes I have two grown up kids and it’s nice to have your own space. We are building on acreage, so garden is everywhere and I am not sure how to avoid bad Feng Shui! In regards to kitchen I think it’s too late now as we have submitted plans already but I think I have to make sure this kitchen is always clean -Lol. I will be using butler pantry for most of my cooking. So hopefully not a big issue. I can’t see a way to Change it around now. So have to live with it. Good point darb 74, I will change this to CSD as well. Re: Custom plan 11Oct 02, 2019 5:58 pm gogo65 En-suite shower and toilet are too narrow, they should be a minimum 900. Our dining area I have measured it and should be fine to fit nice big table. Kitchen can’t be changed as already submitted our plans to council.
