Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 22, 2019 4:19 pm Hi, we are thinking of building with Boutique and was wondering if anyone has pricing on some upgrades for the barcelona. Square set to living area?, extra laundry cupboards? wardrobe fitout? and if anyone knows how many downlights are included in their offer of downlights in living areas? thanks in advance. Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 2Sep 23, 2019 7:05 am Hi, Upgrades with boutique can get expensive. We are having a broom cupboard which costs about $1k and i think it costs about $2k to have extra cupboards. We wanted to have high ceiling or square set in living area but both costed above $4k so we opted out. You get 20 downlights for your living areas. Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 3Sep 23, 2019 12:15 pm Did you ask Boutique what their upgrades costs are for these items? I'd be interested to know how transparent they are about these things. Carlisle for example have an itemised list for the upgrade costs for their display homes, which is really helpful in understanding at least approximate costs for your own upgrades. Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 5Jan 23, 2020 8:02 am AliKay Hi guys, Looking to build with Boutique as well. Interested to know the upgrade costs if someone has gone through the process recently. Thanks. Hi, We are building with boutique. Do you know what you are looking to upgrade? We did few upgrades and see if I can help. Cheers Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 6Sep 10, 2020 7:02 pm Hi Guys, Sorry for hijacking this thread. I am also about to sign-up with Boutique to build Barcelona 28. I currently need to decide on the heating and cooling options. Have you guys opted for a better rated gas heating or included add-on refrigerated cooling? Did you make any provisions to get things done post-handover? I was thinking of paying extra to upgrade to 5 star rated gas heating and pay for provisions to install refrigerated cooling later. Have also upgraded the insulation in the walls and added sarking in the roof. Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 7Sep 10, 2020 8:29 pm shahfar Hi Guys, Sorry for hijacking this thread. We wanted to do an add on refrigerated cooling but since the gas heater is a basic 3 star we cannot do that. They charge too much for provision hence we decided to do it outside. You have got options these days to use a large vent for both heating and cooling so that you can eliminate additional vent holes in the ceiling. Re: Boutique Upgrade costs 8Sep 11, 2020 6:21 pm Hi Chezhianrv, I am pretty much sold on evaporative cooling and thats why only looking to upgrade to a 5 star unit along with 2 zones. I have had good feedback from people who are currently using evap cooling. 10 15685 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13053 |
