Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 19, 2019 9:32 pm Hi all, Just seeking some advice on our slab that was poured today. It was raining this morning was the poor was completed which was a slight concern. There are two exposed reo bars completely exposed. I understand that exposed reo isn't good although I'm not sure whether these are part of the structure or just there for the formwork or something? A few of the edges are poorly finished, not smooth and have small chunks missing. A couple of the edges aren't exactly straight although I suppose the bricks will be laid around the outside of the slab. Should this be raised with the builder or will they return to fix this? In WA by the way. Placing concrete in rain before the set can effect its strength, durability, etc Too much Rain when placing Concrete 2. Horizontal exposed bars are structural, edge vertical exposed bars are pins for formwork 3. I'd grab a large sample of the hardened concrete that's been discharge from the truck, left on site. etc 4. Thanks Doozer, I know it the Termico Management system - treatment to soil, termite blanket at zero lot boundary, perimeter treatment. Not sure on the specific products Re: Slab just poured 6Sep 20, 2019 4:44 pm my house uses Termico, haven't had any issues, though you do have to pay for the yearly inspection to maintain the warranty.
