Building A New House
Aug 31, 2019 9:47 pm
I'm currently looking to build a home in W.A. with Ben Trager homes Just wanted to gather some thoughts on the expanded polystyrene build (EPS) that they use for their upper floor construction. I’m concerned about this material ending up in the banned list in the future after any fire incidents and destroying the resale value of the house. It is sounds like the same type of cladding used in high-rises, like that London building which caught fire. Would it be better to stick to a double brick construction, which has stood the test of time but also potentially pay $20-30k more for the house?
