We went up to site to look at our newly errected framework today and I saw this timber being used.. is this bad and should I be contacting the builder to complain? There were also other pieces being used with huge holes where knots in the timber had previously been.
Any advice would be appreciated.

It's hard to tell from the photo but I think they may just be temporary braces holding up the trusses.
Was it in the spot a wall is meant to be?

I had exactly the same question for my builder when I saw big holes in some of our timbers. Mentioned it to our builder and turns out it’s temporary bracing as chippy said.
