Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Fall on Land and Site Cost 6Aug 19, 2019 11:05 pm ![]() ![]() About 1.1m from left back to right back Thanks. How it will impact my site cost. As front to rear fall is 560mm. Left back to right back matters? I mean it's cornet lot need to leave space on the corner and also at back. Does 1.1m fall on the back has any significant effect on site cost. You may be required to do a large cut on the site to flatten the block out, which involves removal of soil, trucks, excavation etc. All the expensive stuff, also depending on the depth of the cut you may require retaining walls. That may be all your site costs (excluding rock, if you have any), If the engineer / builder decides to go the other way and fill area with soil you may require concrete piers. which are about $400.00 each. There are lots of ways this could go, it is all up to the engineer in the end to design the best method suited to your site / soil conditions. It's mean my site cost will be between 15k to 20K. If I need to fix my site cost, what would the good price mark for me. Can I ask builder to fix it at 15K. Re: Fall on Land and Site Cost 8Aug 20, 2019 6:37 pm I think it would be hard to find a builder to fix the site costs before the engineering is complete. Try and have a chat to a handful of builders and see what they all come back with. If you can get them fixed that would be great, but please remember when they fix the site costs before the engineering is complete they are estimating for the worst case scenario to cover their back side. Hello, I have been looking at buying land and I am not sure how to find out the fall on the land. I can't see any survey map in section 32. I'm mostly looking at private… 0 939 From reading here and elsewhere, that’s the modus operandi of builders. Cheap quote and pack on the expensive non optional options. 6 1202 Just check if it's a provisional sum. At 25k it'll likely be a worst case scenario if it's provisional. If it's fixed, its a different story 9 3983 ![]() |
