Re: Which builder is good in Bendigo for house and land pack 2Aug 18, 2019 9:26 am hi, best thing to do is try and find some people who have built (or currently building) with some companies and gauge actual customer experience directly. If you purely go to display homes and speak to sales people you will obviously be told all the right things....remember these people mostly work off commission. Some builders also put lots of extra effort, and their best trades into their display homes which is not always a true reflection of the typical customer built house. Anyhow typically all the big volume builders (Metricon, Simonds etc) are likely to be servicing bendigo. If you want best quality but at a cost look or smaller local 'custom' builders. Otherwise look at some of the franchise operations that are typically owned and operated by locals....eg GJ Gardner, Hotondo etc. But make sure you get some local feedback on them. I am also in the same boat..As it is an old post I think you might have completed your build. Could you please let me know which builder you have chosen? Thanks Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7298 Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20425 Sounds like rubbish to me. Ask for the contamination report which I doubt they have. If it's part of a normal subdivision it would have had a contamination report done… 9 5647 |
