Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 15, 2019 9:53 pm Hoping someone here can assist My partner and i are looking to purchase a block of land which as a 2m wide easement on the east side of the block, which also happens to be backed straight on to a park reserve. On the development permit, there is a melbourne water condition that any new fencing on that eastern side be 50% open construction to allow for overland flow. The neighbouring properties all have closed pailing fences. My question is, can these sorts of conditions be changed so that we can build a standard pailing fence? There are many people that walk past that side of the property and we aren't keen on having an open constructed fence for privacy reasons. Hoping someone can suggest any solutions or similar situations they've been in? Thanks! Looking to start the journey of becoming an owner builder in SA.
