Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 29, 2019 11:34 am Hello, I am about to start working on plans for a home I am building in WA, can anybody point me in the right direct for information on building against the boundary line and the regulations? My block is a corner block, and I am hoping (but skeptical) that I can build right up to the fenceline along the side where there is no other property. The reason I ask is because the block is quite small, (not the smallest block however) at 385sqm, and I want to maximise the size of the property for resale value. Thanks Re: Building on boundary line in WA 2Jul 29, 2019 11:43 am Google Residential Design Codes WA, this should take you to the department of Planning and it's there. There is a high chance that there should be a DAP (detailed area plan) on your block as well, if that's the case, ring the local council and ask for it. Good thing I have allowed for it by making the rooms on that side of the home bigger, so I guess they can be cut back. Thank you so much for the information In WA zero lot is actually zero lot. We build 10mm in from the boundary. My house and my neighbours house have garages that sit only 20mm apart.
