To put it in perspective a typical single car garage is 3.0m wide and this is just enough room to open the doors ect.
I'd say stick with 3.6m unless it is compromising your internal areas.

I would say stick with 3.6m too.
However if that's just an access path to get to where the boat/whatever will be parked, it can be narrower. Our side drive narrows down to 2.5m & I've had delivery trucks (pantechs not semi's!) reverse up that … but there's not really enough room to comfortably park there & open doors.
