Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 04, 2010 4:39 pm Help Our favourite bricks, Kurrajong by Boral in Horizon are unavailable.... we LOVED those bricks. Has anyone else had the same issue, can anyone recommend a similar brick - I love the browns but my husband is not a huge fan of the dark browns - were not a fan of bricks with lots of red, and havent really made up our minds on the light bricks. We really loved this brick because when you turn it on its side, to frame the end of the facade, and around the windows, it has this beautiful lighter golden flicker through the brick. We want a brick that I guess you could say has a bit of all colours. A medium tone. This is the kurrajong- can anyone recommend anything similar?? Thanks!! http://www.boral.com.au/productcatalogu ... roduct=249 Re: Help - Kurrajong bricks unavailable - similar bricks any 2May 04, 2010 6:29 pm How about Brown Terrain? Or Brushwood? I like Brushwood more though, but doesn't have those ripples through it like Kurrajong. I think Brown Terrain is quite similar to Kurrajong though. Hope that helps! Re: Help - Kurrajong bricks unavailable - similar bricks any 3May 04, 2010 7:29 pm How long would you have to wait for the Kurrajong bricks? If it's what you love, it's worth waiting. Same thing happened to us; we waited 8 weeks for Kurrajong bricks. We just didn't want to always look at our house and say, "well, it's not quite as good as it could have been, is it?" Felistopher used Kurrajong and her next door neighbour used Mocha, so you can compare them easily. However, there are problems with the supply of Mocha at the moment. There is no date yet on when they will be ready, but based on the waiting time of the other bricks, it will probably be a max of three months. By the time they get to your bricks, i would think they should be available. Good Luck. There are quite a few similar bricks out there too, but there is a severe shortage at the moment due to the hail storm in Melbourne recently. We are liking brushwood at the moment, it is available in 4 weeks, so we will see how we go.
