McDonald Jones Homes- Tulloch-31

Hi All,

We have chosen to build Tulloch-31 with McDonald Jones Homes.
We have availed the 'Allure' Package.

We assume everybody who signed up with MJH are entitled for the '20 mm Stone bench top from their basic/standard range.
As per Allure, the 20 mm bench top comes from their executive range
a.) Are their Standard and executive ranges same and everybody gets to choose from 20 mm standard stone bench top ranges unless upgrade?

or

b.) People who have not availed get laminate kitchen and bathroom bench tops? and Allure package entitles for 20 mm stone bench tops?

Would anyone be able to throw some light on this please

Thanks for your reply. We did check with them. They replied " MJH executive and standard range are same". Its their different marketing terminology.
So just wondering if anyone here, has availed stone bench tops without the Allure package.

we got the celebrations and got 20mm stone included but decided to upgrade to 40mm in the kitchen so it was extra and yes executive and standard are the same . There are only certain colours off the caesarstone brochure you can have so worth asking them which ones are the included colours once you have your brochure and then seeing the many many options which are not standard colours and you pay extra for them. McJones you always pay more . What you see in the showhomes are generally not standard and nearly all upgrades. $$

Hi Najua
We are very happy with our initial experience during design selection, colour selection, contract signing. Their team lived up to our expectations and reputation in market. They were happy to accommodate our requests and details in design and colour selection making it very smooth for us to sail through the process.

However, do not have very good experience with the Project Coordinator assigned to us.
The coordination process seems to be very slow and not transparent ,compared to other builders so far.
We had to follow up extensively to get updates and push things forward.

With respect to quality, our construction has not yet begun. It will be too early for me to comment on quality.
Based on what we hear about their reputation in market we are hoping they will come up to speed when the construction process begins and also deliver good quality. Fingers crossed!

Hi Soumyva,

Congrats on the new build and hope you are enjoying the place. I have currently paid a deposit for the tulloch 31 design and waiting for the consolidated tender.

Can you please let me know the upgrades you selected and how much it costed approximately to get an idea? I will be building in schofields on a 10m frontage zero lot and would there be any challenges in getting council approval? If you could shed some light it would be great and very helpful.
