Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 01, 2019 4:00 pm I am wondering if anyone can confirm the most likely purpose of the PVC pipe which extends up out of the ground and would be capped at the front of the lot. Is this a house connection for stormwater? Ours has been run over and crushed by someone driving across our site and I am wondering how crucial this is to fix or whether this will be dug up and removed later anyway. Still not stoked it has been run over, but glad it is not likely to be anything more crucial to be rectified asap (a marker for sewer or cables etc) ...Does your stormwater drain sit directly adjacent to a sewer pit, or is that what a stormwater pit looks like where you are? Re: New Developer Land - What is the PVC pipe sticking out 7Jul 04, 2019 7:38 pm Not always, the sewer easement is usually at the rear and has a round pit. The stormwater easement usually has a square pit. If your storm water point of discharge is at the front of the block then the stormwater easement should be at the front. They can be in the same easement as well. If you check your land title you will be able to see where the easements are. Re: New Developer Land - What is the PVC pipe sticking out 8Jul 05, 2019 9:15 am Thanks. I was actually just referring to 'your' photo there, as that pit in the photo looks like a sewer pit around here. It just seemed unusual to me that the stormwater point would be directly adjacent to a sewer pit, which gave me a bit of confusion for minute and why I asked. All good though. I have checked our LPOD and sewer and I know we have sewer to the rear and stormwater to the front. Thanks for your help, it has cleared up my query. yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7297 Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance!
