I suggest you also take photos It has been discussed before Here perpends and mortar on the inside face Cheers Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Our Place - Meadow Springs, HGWA 24Jul 31, 2019 9:11 pm StructuralBIMGuy Hi KJ3470 Brickwork Is almost finished You might want to check that those perps are all Buttered up and filled As fastwall without mortar perps are prone to cracking. Re: Our Place - Meadow Springs, HGWA 25Oct 14, 2019 1:46 pm KJ3470 thme Are they still doing the 'Luxury Kitchen'? It does have a bit of wow factor to it, especially when you compared it to what most other builders in WA offer as their standard kitchen fit out. It all looked to be reasonable quality, however the killer for us was the island bench with the split levels and also the lack of colour choices and the ability to modify things due to the fact that the kitchen's are purchased in bulk from China in set combinations. We went with the designer kitchen as that suited our house plan and I only wanted a white kitchen. At the end of the day, people go with the builder that offers them what they want, with the price etc they want. Hi, can I ask how much is the designer Kitchen or the difference between the luxury and designer. We are most likely going to be going with home group and I'm just getting my list of must haves and what i can settle with but i know I definitely want the designer Kitchen over the luxury and I'd love to do some of the upper cabinetry in the wood look. Btw your plans look amazing, so excited to follow along your build 😀 Re: Our Place - Meadow Springs, HGWA 26Dec 10, 2019 1:42 pm T.MacKay KJ3470 thme Are they still doing the 'Luxury Kitchen'? Btw your plans look amazing, so excited to follow along your build 😀 There’s a $20,000 difference in price between the luxury and designer. You get two wall ovens, the island bench is two levelled, and an bunch of other differences. I think if you look on their website or even their insta or FB, you’ll find a heap of pics of the differences. Often a builder will allow the bricklayer to cut corners which is faster for a lower price to the builder. The builder can no longer cut corners for s cheaper contract price to the bricklayer. Many cowboys unable to cut corners where the builder will turn a blind eye for a lower price are leaving. Do be mindful that many of the cracks will come from soft foundation compaction or cutting corners on concrete footings. Consider an engineer do a post construction compaction test to ensure the plumbers etc have not left soft foundations that do not pass compaction tests where the compaction will compromise the structural integrity of your pride and joy. Get a compaction test done. *All in my opinion only Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home. Visit for… 1 15782 Appreciate that Chippy. I won’t do sand under pavers and will connect all up under pavers, however I was going to do: 1) Roadbase compacted with manual hand tamper 2)… 10 18563 |
