Is it acceptable to engage a private defect inspector to accompany us to the inspection? Also how picky should you be; what is classified as a defect and what is considered within reasonable workmanship for a hand built home? They've been great at answering any questions I have and they picked up things during their inspections that I would have had no idea about. Definitely recommend. I'm using All Inspect; I've heard others happy with KSpec as well. All 3 items listed are defects and are of concern.
