Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 06, 2020 7:19 am Hi all, I'm new to this forum and building our first home. Apologies if in case this was posted in the wrong thread. Appreciate your inputs and thanks for your suggestions and advices. I noticed the foam insulation for the pipe for water heating didn't continue through the stud wall. I have asked SS and he said that it should be fine since water heating these days do not go up over 60 degrees so there won't be a possibility of fire risks and they have been doing this with all the other builds so it shouldn't be an issue. Is this acceptable as standard? The insulation is to prevent heat loss not to protect the timber. Great to know. Thank you 😊 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 3 pipes are coming from upstairs bathroom. 40mm from bathroom sink, 50mm from shower and another 50mm from the bathtub.
