My builder has sent us the HIA build contract for us to sign but the construction plan included was only standard. They just included the separated upgraded plans (i.e. Sitting room upgraded to Guest Room plan). It's not consolidated in one construction plan. I requested for them to give us the updated construction plans incorporating all our upgrades. They got back to me saying that we need to sign the contract first and make another deposit then they can proceed doing our final construction plan.
Has anyone experienced the same? Is it legal and safe?
