Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 13, 2019 3:50 pm Hi Guys, If we were given a final design to be submitted to council for approval, does it suppose to have all the complete details like kitchen cabinets, drawers, cupboards, etc..? Did you have a special meeting for kitchen detailing? Thanks. Re: What's the design plan submitted to Council look like? 2May 13, 2019 7:26 pm It doesn’t have to. It is basically minimum viable product. Council is interested in things like; - whole floor space ratio - window and door size and position - room size and position - position on the block - Height - materials and colour - hard landscaping - balcony’s - shadow lines. The internals, fittings and fixtures cabinetry can ge done but don’t need to. Re: What's the design plan submitted to Council look like? 3May 14, 2019 7:16 am Thanks Melos . After the council submitted design plans, did you have another final plan from the builder where all the fittings, cabinets, drawers were explicitly laid out including measurements? Did you have another appointment for kitchen and laundry design afterwards?
