It's OURS!!! carpet in 49Jan 09, 2009 7:35 pm Yep, they have done the plastering before the bricks. The house seems to be fully weatherproof. We have been out there a few times while it has been raining hard.. and not a drop inside!!!

Tiled roof done including sarking underneath (exept for the capping) we chose monier sambuka quote] It's looking really nice, it's great when you can say house instead of block. The roof tiles are a nice colour. You can sit in your backyard enjoying a Sambuca, whilst admiring your Sambuka tiles. Re: Our "Daydream"279".... It's OURS!!! carpet in 52Jan 10, 2009 12:29 pm ^ lol

Re: Our "Daydream"279".... It's OURS!!! carpet in 53Jan 11, 2009 7:32 pm Looks great. I'm eagerly waiting to see how those bricks look . Any idea when you think they'll start?
I can't believe how fast it's going up. Keep the pics coming! Re: Our "Daydream"279".... It's OURS!!! carpet in 54Jan 11, 2009 8:39 pm Looks like the bricks will be starting on Wednesday. I know that you are using the same bricks jellylegs so I will definately be posting some pics for you soon!
Jellylegs.. did you choose offwhite / white or normal mortor.Have you seen them done either way? Still trying to decide. We were told at tender that its easier to organise (and cheaper) to deal directly with the brickies. Our SS even gave the brickies phone number to us. This has been the case with all the tradesmen so far!!! So far we have added cupboard shelves, extra tap, extra electrical, extra ceiling shower head for the ensuite shower, had the antenna installed, theatre room cabling done, speaker wires for external and internal ceiling speakers, and got a heaps bigger kitchen! very happy! Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!! Re: Our "Daydream"279".... It's OURS!!! carpet in 55Jan 11, 2009 9:26 pm Oh my goodness - are you taking baked goods to these guys?!?! We had been quoted $1200 for overhead cupboards, so we thought we'd leave that until later - now I'm thinking we might have that conversation with the tradies themselves.
We organised to have Off White mortar at our colour selection for an extra $400 (or $450 - there abouts anyway). I would have felt it would have been a bit of a gamble to leave it until so late in the process, but its obviously worth it. We got to see the bricks with the normal and the off white and the normal really didn't look as good IMO. I thought the ensuite showers came with 2 shower heads??? I might have to check the contract again - we specifically asked about this and were told it did, but I don't think I've thought about it since. Hmmm.... Re: Our "Daydream"279".... It's OURS!!! carpet in 56Jan 11, 2009 9:34 pm Yes, jellylegs , we had 2 showerheads in our contract already. Both at either end of the shower on rails. As our shower is quite large 2000mmX1000mm We decided that we would like to have a ceiling showerhead as well. We got one of those rainheads. So now we have 3 in that shower..mmmmm
We do have to pay about $3200 extra for our kitchen (apart from whats on the plan shown) but we think it will be worth it. We have extended the bench towards to games room by 600mm, and we have also made the bench with the sink to be 1200mm wide, not the standard 900mm. We have also gone for overhead cupboards for both walls. We also have added a set of drawers and extended the standard drawers to 1000mm instead of the normal 450mm wide. I will see if I can find a copy of our kitchen plans and post them here. Much easier to explain. Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!!
