Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 29, 2019 10:26 am Hi all - I'm building with Metricon in Balwyn, VIC. Long time lurker on the forum, and I'm afraid my first post is a question (i hope to redeem myself by being more active on the forum). Our build is nearing completion and today I have been provided with a invoice for for rock removal. Its not a huge sum, and well within the provisional amount allowed in the contract. My issue is that the HIA requires the builder to provide me with invoices etc "as soon as practicable after receiving same". The invoice from the supplier they have sent me is dated October. I have been constantly asking them about rock removal costs as I didn't want any surprises. They even sent me an email in November - saying No costs have been incurred to date. I'm wondering if I should create a fuss over this. Hard to find out what "as soon as practicable" means and what is the remedy if builder does not comply with this requirement. Any thoughts, opinion will be appreciated - thanks Re: Building with Metricon in VIC - provisional costs invoic 2Mar 29, 2019 12:33 pm mathnerd Hi all - I'm building with Metricon in Balwyn, VIC. I could be wrong as I havent seen your contract but you should look into it.
