A bit of background - we built a double storey home in Melbourne. Our home had many defects, and the build went well beyond contract time. The biggest lingering issue is our brickwork. It was poor quality, and while our builder has worked to fix our bricks over the past year and a bit, none of their methods have succeeded fully. We still have crooked bricks, missing mortar, mortar smears, varying colours and widths of mortar, etc. To top it off, many of our bricks (Austral Indulgence Praline) have turned orange over the past year, and are continuing to do so.
This is our brickwork after the latest round of 'fixing.'
Has anyone disputed brickwork with their builder and had any success? Would appreciate any advice. TIA.
