Marshall Baker Homes ?

Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience with Marshall Baker homes in Melbourne :

I have heard they are a couple of ex-porter davis sales people that have gone on there own. Nice displays, but given they have only been around for a year or so, i;d hate to comment on the quality just yet.

Hi Justin

No info on them as yet on BB. I had a look at the website and what a pain - it was set to a large screen size and the 'skip intro' key was off the page to the right hand side. Finally worked it out though! Haha

If anyone has used them I'd love to hear about it.

Except for the 'flash' intro [with the 'skip intro' easily viewable] I found the site informative & would give it a 6 for layout against BB's site at a 4

Thanks AusDesign!! I suspect your screen is wider than mine! Once I set my resolution to handle the width the Marshall site was all ok and looked alright. But to start with all I was getting was half the view (so I couldn't see the skip intro button!!).

Apologies if it appeared I was having a go at the total site.

My subtle point was that not all that is in the eye of the beholder is necessarily correct for all.
Your screen resolution [your interpretation] was correct for you.
My screen resolution was correct for me.

There is a need to denegate builders who do the wrong thing & I applaud your site for doing so BUT there does need to be a fair judgement
To my mind this forum has the opportunity to provide good advice to readers on building related matters - your forum to provide guidance on the quality of builders.
Unfortunately this section of the forum seems to have beeen 'hijacked' in recent months.
Maybe I'm on the wrong track & readers & posters need this avenue to vent their frustratiions !

I am thinking of building a home with Marshall Baker and wanted to know what is the experience you have had or have with them. Just interested if they deliver what they promise, how ease are they to deal with, do they deliver on time -this sore of thing.
Can you please share your experience?
