Browse Forums Building A New House Re: House bedrooms are smaller than on plan. 5Mar 05, 2019 3:20 pm As others have said, if it's truly only 5cm smaller then the 3.6 x 3.3 room is now 3.55 x 3.25. [If it has actually been reduce in all rooms by 50cm in all dimensions there's something really wrong, the whole house can't have shrunk by that much!] I don't think you'd be able to see 5cm in a 3.6m length room; it all looks different once the gyprock is up & the walls/ceiling are painted. If it's only ~5cm I wouldn't be too worried about it. Sorry 5cm. Re: House bedrooms are smaller than on plan. 9Mar 08, 2019 9:50 pm Rooms should just be 20mm smaller than noted on plan for painted walls. Might end up being 50mm in bathrooms where there are tiles.
