The builders generally know the rules for each council, but the specifics for each development, would normally be provided by the owner (your solicitor when purchasing the land would normally have access to any restrictions etc) Thanks very much for the explanation. Our solicitor did not explain the developer guidelines at the time of purchase. So we didn’t know about a specific setback that developer requested to leave.
