I have searched, googled, Yahoo’d etc and after having some issues of our new house that was only complete months ago it has come to our attention that the waffle design and sign off was never supplied.
We have a P rated site and we have already had issues with our driveway lifting 2-3” and ripples (highs and lows) appearing throughout our house.
Never built before and after speaking to our neighbor (builder) and others we have been told that we should have been supplied an detailed slab design, engineered and signed off after completion.
We have major concerns that they rushed it and just someone in to lay a slab and that’s it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would think foundation design for the dwelling would have to be submitted to your council as part of the cc. Your driveway slab would probably not.
Agree on the driveway as our neighbor has the same issue with theirs and built with a different concretor.
Our issue is that we never saw or signed off on the waffle slab design, seems that the slab needs to be drawn up and signed off by an engineer then like all pages on the build contract signed by the owner.

Considering all the issues Battlers & Punters are having with Concrete, Structural Engineering, Fire Proof Cladding, etc, etc all in the news recently
Owners need to be proactive. Contact your Council and request copies of the engineering include all revisions. The only problem you might have is whether the Engineering Plans have been updated from what was originally specified
OT, Building Surveyors and Inspectors can't update structural plans. As for Driveways always request details & Specifications
It amazes me people building don't have structural plans and details

We are waiting on the stamp approved surveyors plans that should show all the details, we have a feeling the FFL was either never done or the final plans were never signed off.
