Can’t stand when people just assume things.

That’s really funny that you can’t stand people that assume things, coming from the person that assumed they would just peel the film off their obscure windows and stuff the regulations in place to protect others privacy, gold!
So what your saying is it’s ok to protect other people’s privacy but not my own? You don’t make sense. If you don’t like what I’m posting move on. I didn’t ask for your opinion. One day this might come back to bite you. If they want compete privacy then they can get the obscure. Me I like to see nature. You may not. Don’t get irate with me because you don’t like what I’m saying.

Hey it’s a public forum, if you only want opinions that agree with your own, then maybe don’t post in a public forum in the first place.
And I’m not irate with you at all, I couldn’t care less, all the frustration and anger is coming out in your posts.
And here’s a newsflash - I don’t make the overlooking/privacy laws, it’s council laws to protect peoples enjoyment of their private space.
You like to see nature, this is your 4th build yet you claim at one point that you forgot to check the windows could be seen out of, then you claim you knew you were getting obscure glass that you would just peel off, but you ended up with embedded obscure glass and now you’re stuck unless you take a punt and spend more money swapping them out, but if a neighbour objects you are deep in a hole.
So what is the truth - that you overlooked the fact you had no view out of several windows at planning stage, or that you knew you wouldn’t have a view but thought you were getting stick on so stuff the rules we will just peel it off after we move in?
What’s posting here proving, what are you trying to achieve? Just because several people say it’s not fair doesn’t matter, you built a house knowing you had to have obscure glass but all along your plan was to “peel off” the obscure part and now you can’t.
And why would it come back to bite me? I don’t care. And I’m not silly enough to overlook the fact I want windows I can see out of, and I’m definitely not arrogant enough to think I’d simply peel off the obscure bit to suit myself to the detriment of any neighbours.[/quote]
Where did I actually say I didn’t know I wouldn’t see out of it?
You don’t read anything properly by the looks of it.
I didn’t come on here to talk to someone who thinks they are righteous and think they know every council in Victoria regulations and try too force me into doing the right thing. You say you don’t care. But you really do. Or else you wouldn’t come on here.
I didn’t come on here to get a lecture from you that it’s doing a disservice to my neighbours. I have got told by a few builders that I could just peel it off afterwards. So it’s not far fetched that I thought that. Considering all my windows were suppose to be film to begin with.
And that it wouldn’t be taken serious by the council. You don’t think they know that people peel it off? Considering it’s just film? Think? Why would they keep allowing it then? Lots of people do it.
You sounded even jealous to pick on my size of house. You sound like your a perfect person that just thought of everything for your build and you didn’t miss a beat. That’s if you built a new home. Well you wouldn’t be on here then would you? After all it’s all about building. ! I just don’t like people who get on their high horse picking on every single thing someone writes. And doesn’t even try and understand my point of view. But is arrogant enough to look at it from one point of view. And FYI we were suppose to be one of the first who build here when we bought the land. These things can’t be predicted. And just because you wouldn’t do it. Don’t knock others that would.
And too say I sound suss. I find that to be very rude. So if you don’t want to go back and forth with me. Move on. Or else I will ASSUME you just love my company
