We bought our block in May 2017 but it didn't register until November 2017, so we signed original contracts in June 2017 to lock in prices. We had heaps of time to play with the plan and get it perfect. Once the block was registered and they were allowed to go on the block to do soil tests, the tender was requested in December and received our tender in January 2018 with April 2018 start date. Because we signed a contract in May 2017 and Coral guarantee the price for 7 months to start date, our price was backdated to September prices and promotions, which actually worked out better for us as the September promotions were better than the June ones. Start date was 13 April (with a 200 day build time) and handover was 31 July 2018, and they started a week early. We thought 200 days to build was extreme but it only took about 16 weeks. That allows for lots of rain and delays. Couldn't be happier with our house. You can have a look at my thread if you like. This certainly doesn't look good.
