Could I ask you what comes with the Coral's downpipes? I noticed a Leaf Eater in the photo, is that the same as a Rain Head (mentioned in Tender2) and how many of those do you get? If not on all 12 downpipes are the rest screended or something like that? Sorry for the questions, you must be very busy. Re: Our Coral Heron: Painting looking GREAT! 102Apr 27, 2009 2:16 pm Thanks Mundie & Rebekah. Nice to have a little vote of confidence sometimes. It's all so consuming it's hard to distance yourself from these choices and see them as they really are. Annelies Looks absolutely fabuloes, Jelly Legs I'm a follower of your blog and love the outside colours too. Could I ask you what comes with the Coral's downpipes? Sorry for the questions, you must be very busy. Thanks Annelies, I hope I'm helping make some of your choices a little bit easier. I'm always happy to help, so don't worry about asking. I think that's the great thing about a forum like this, we can all learn from each other and hopefully have a better experience as a result of sharing what we learn along the way. I'm not sure what the rain head is Annelies, but those leaf eaters are just over the pvc pipes that go to the water tanks. Looking at our tender, it says 'Rainwater heads on four (4) painted UPVC downpipes', so I'd say, yes, that's what they are. I guess the amount you get would depend on the size of the house you build and how many pipes you need or receive to go to your rainwater tank. All the other drain pipes we have that go out to stormwater are colourbond, but I notice from a couple of other people posting here that Coral aren't offering colourbond pipes at all anymore. I received a phone call from our tiler a little while ago: Tiling starts TOMORROW Re: Our Coral Heron: Painting looking GREAT! 103Apr 27, 2009 3:08 pm jellylegs, i forgot to tell you that we went to the colour room and display home at toowoomba yesterday - it was a heron 251 and it was BEAUTIFUL i loved it so much...now i want one of them! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Our Coral Heron: Painting looking GREAT! 104Apr 28, 2009 2:53 pm We really wanted to build the 251 so we could have a spare room for guests but our block wasn't long enough We had to get a relaxation as it was just to fit the 214 on. Kylie handover happened 15/6/09...love living on an acre but still so much to do! Re: Our Coral Heron: Painting looking GREAT! 108Apr 30, 2009 10:22 pm Hi Kylie, Tiling is going VEEERRRRYYYY slowly. The wrong tiles for our ensuite were delivered, and stupid us didn't notice, even though they've been sitting there for weeks now. Today I've noticed that our ensuite cabinet was installed before the tiles, so I need to phone our SS and let him know I'm not happy. I want tiles under that thing thanks very much. I took some pics of what has been done, but I haven't got time to put them up at the moment, so, tomorrow maybe. Not that it looks very good without the grout, so I might just keep you waiting until that's done Ok, enough bludging. Back to studying... Re: Our Coral Heron: Tiling has started 114May 21, 2009 12:39 pm We're finally at the end of our building journey! We had our walk through inspection with our SS today and everything looks great. With all the rain we had here yesterday, we had a leak in our ceiling which was dripping down into the rangehood, but that's been all sorted out very quickly. We're so happy with how great Coral were to build with and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The painters will be back tomorrow to do the final touch ups, and the cleaners will be in on Monday. Hopefully the bank will be organised enough to have the funds ready for handover on Tuesday. http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/JellyLegs01/100_0433.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/JellyLegs01/100_0431.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/JellyLegs01/100_0430.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/JellyLegs01/100_0420.jpg http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/JellyLegs01/100_0419.jpg Re: Our Coral Heron: Handover next week!! 115May 21, 2009 12:45 pm yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! fingers crossed for tuesday for you! thats great!! Fingers crossed that everything goes through smoothly for you on Tuesday. Make sure you come back and post photos when everything is in and done Re: Our Coral Heron: Handover next week!! 119May 22, 2009 9:06 am Thanks everyone. Now the fun begins I suppose. I've still got to organise a clothes line, fences, driveway, tv antenna, some sort of paving or something to walk on before we get the landscaping done... too much to think about! I'm looking forward to it though. I think this is going to be the longest weekend of our lives. Thankfully our kids sport has been cancelled for the weekend because of the flooding, so more time to pack!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
