A lot has happened over the past month. Painters have finished, tiling has finished. Garage door is on. And electricians have installed all our fans, pendants etc. Still a lot of little jobs to finish but we should have walk thru in a couple of weeks. Love our selection. Will look lovely once cleaned. Not sure about the join between the floor and carpet areas. This wasn’t discussed during selection phase. We’ve been given whatever !!! It looks ok but I think they could have installed a lighter colour. Electrician has fixed up our en-suite pendants so look much better. SS has been through and marked all imperfections with blue tape. We found a few more and will probably find others. Still a lot to finish before walk through in 2 weeks. If we’ve encountered any small issues the SS rectified straight away. However yesterday we discovered that after our laminate was laid and the skirtings put on top there are huge areas where there’s a gap up to 5-6 mm between the skirtings and laminate. We are pretty annoyed and we paid big money for the colonial skirting boards and can’t have gaps as dirt etc will get stuck underneath. Anyone encountered this issue and how it was fixed? We’ve also noticed a bend in the hallway near the entry to bathroom. It stands out as soon as you walk into the hallway. Just wondering how this will be fixed? The shower screen in the en-suite was finally installed but found it was all wrong. We were supposed to have 1 fixed panel and 1 door hinged from the tiled wall. We specifically asked for this design to avoid getting wet or scoulded when turning the tap on. Looks like another issue that will need to be rectified. Very disappointed with this. Re: Longreach 33- Our country home 47Apr 27, 2019 9:18 pm kks The shower team have likely done you guys a favour with their re-jig. You would have hated forcing past the tap ware on a daily basis. Honestly. Sorry. I don’t really understand what you mean kks? We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds. That’s why we… 5 16289 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
